Prairie Snowstorm April 21, 2008

This is not really how we wanted to end our journey – staring out the window of my brother’s house in Edmonton, watching the snow swirl around and pile up on the streets and sidewalks. Digging through our suitcases to find another layer of clothes. Checking the weather forecast that continues to give storm warnings and promises of more snow and poor visibility on the highways. Temperature for the day increasing from -10 to -8C.
And no sympathy from anyone. Like as if experiencing 6 months of warm, mainly dry weather means this is somehow good for us. Oh well, while everyone else is at work, we’ll curl up with blankets on the couch in the den and watch DVDs all day. That is, if we can figure out which remote control to use and which button to push. On second thought, maybe we’ll just stick with technology we can understand – books.
Too bad you had to arrive and face this weather. I’m still following you through Asia and enjoying every minute.
Welcome back!

Welcome back to the land of snow & ice!
We’ve gone from being the California of the North to being the Alaska of the South. You might consider reracing your steps. I’ll carry your bags!
Wlcome back! Enjoyd your journeys emensely.

Well, at least you are both home safe and sound. The on-going winter during spring is one of the reasons why I moved out of Ontario to Victoria. Also, my escaping the high temperatures and high humidity of summer in Ontario was a relief too. So enjoy the blankets on the couch for sure folks. Time to re-group and get back into the “swing of things” in good old Canada. Love & Singing Hugs from Shelley.

Way to go gang!! Glad you’re back safe and sound. Can hardly wait for the movie to come out.
Wish we’d known you were stranded in Edmonton with us, as we couldn’t get out for 3 days to get back home also.
Best wishes and best regards and – again – glad you’re back safe and sound.

Missed your rerturn and lost your call. Can we still connect?

Sitting on our balcony again after 10 days at Campello we just asked each other whether you are home again after such a long time! And I felt wery sorry you left your beautiful warm woollen jaquett with me, when I read about your April Snow Adventure at your arrival ‘at home’ – whatever this means to globetrotters as you! But I sure did enjoy it and wrap up in your generosity this past winter!
And how are you now – on the top of 2008?
Anyway – have a good time and settle again well: with work (but not too much), with money (as much as you want), good health and good
friends whereever you are!
